11.77 Drug Authenticity Verification (RFID)

Drugs are were tagged with an RFID tag containing a unique number. When checked by the pharmacist using a scanner the product is authenticated if it matches details on a secure database, and rejected if not recognised. The technology removes countafit drugs from the supply chain before they can do harm to patients.
