11.1 Appointment Reminders (SMS)

A few days before they are due to attend an outpatient’s clinic the patient is sent a reminder of the time and date of the appointment. This system has been shown to reduce the number of people failing to keep their appointments and helps increasing workflow efficiency within busy outpatient departments.
