Physicians and long term care providers can use a range of mobile devices to submit a prescription directly to the pharmacy either from their surgeries or from the patient’s bedside. These systems also give the physician access to patient clinical information and data on view medications a patient is already taking and the systems automatically highlight possible adverse drug interactions.
