An increasing number of people are opting for self-diagnosis. In 2002 alone almost £55 million was spent on self-diagnostic products, such as blood pressure monitors, blood glucose monitors and pregnancy tests. A mobile phone or wireless PDA connected to a conventional GSM network will provide an ideal platform for these products and services.
