There is a move towards treating patients in their own homes with healthcare providers providing patient support with domiciliary staff or ‘Community Matrons’. These domiciliary workers will require supporting technology and there is a market for a mobile device with access intelligent agents that can analyse an array data from sensors or textual answers to questions then prompt the healthworker for further information or suggest tests. Research is already underway into how such agents would operate.
